Today youth are moving toward gym to making his body fit. Then what is the use of yoga.
Let’s discuss the topic.

Yoga is definitely better than gym.
It gives benefits in the long run as compared to gym.
It makes the body flexible which is actually cant pause in gym.
I personally feel that yoga is much better than gym.

All kinds of pain back problems can be cured with yoga
Ok why YOGA:
because it gives mental and physical balance, today’s life is to make decisions and yoga helps mental strength to evaluate and take good decisions, it gives physical stamina too, performing different aasanas is quite helpful as working out in gym u get tired but on the other hand yoga makes you energetic yoga also leads to self realization (kundalni jagriti) with help of meditation.

It is more historical and tested from a long period of time. At least it does not make your back ache(but that happens when u do weight training)

YOGA even give you eight packs better than 6packs.

So overall in my opinion YOGA is better than working out in Gym.

Gym & Yoga both are good for health. Yoga is good for good from top to bottom of our body & mind. Where gym is very good for only physical body.
Yoga is natural
Gym is artificial
Both are beneficial. Do a combination of the two, yoga asanas as stretches during warm ups and cool downs and free weights to build up muscle.
Yoga is the backbone of India. Both India and yoga are complementary to each other. The hallowed land of India has produced several munis, rishis, yogis. She is essentially a spiritually fertile country.
If you stop gym, your body shinkes, while yoga maintains the figures!
Yoga for improving the thought process and cool our mind..!
Gym to keep fit for the next days hard work!!!
Basically GYM is only for body fitness while Yoga is for both body and mind fitness as well cure for deceases without medication. Yoga is definitely superior to strenuous GYM.

Sahaja yoga, Sivananda yoga have proven to be very effective. So nowadays recreation parks, relaxation techniques have got a lot of importance and these techniques are becoming more popular.
Health benefits of yoga

1. Meditation, Relaxation techniques are very helpful in relieving stress.

2. One feels more energetic

3. Helpful in chronic backache

4. Yoga, meditation gives a better control on mind

5. Surya Namaskar is an old Indian method of exercising which is extremely good.

6. Various “ Aasanas” like “ Shavasan, Tadasan, Sarvangasan, Halasan , etc” give a proper exercise to various body parts
Gym helps in building muscles provided done under proper guidance with a proper diet. A combination of 2 is better for health.

Yoga & Gym both are the process to make your body healthy & fit. Both has its impact on its own way. In today’s fattest world most of us has no time to do anything which is a long term process & in that since gym is one step forward to Yoga. Anyone can make your body healthy, fit, stunning, and stout by going gym & in short term course everyone get result. On the other hand you have to be patient to get a result through yoga. But the most impotent thing is the result obtained by doing yoga is stable & has long lasting effect. 2nd one is in Yoga one can get relief from any disease, chronic pain completely or partially with high impact.3rd one in yoga one can be healthy who is not able to be by gym.4th one you can get relief from mental stress, tension, agony by doing yoga properly. You can also get spiritual happiness from yoga which most important to survive in life. so by all means yoga is better than gym for long lasting effect.

yoga and gym both are totally different things, yoga is definitely better fr good health it keeps human disease free but gym is being used by human being to make their physique attractive, I think the six pack trend is going now which can be achieved only by gym not by doing yoga.

Yoga and Gym are totally different things to be compared.
Unfortunately, now a days YOGA is portrayed as a fitness tool which is not actually. GYM certainly keeps you fit and healthy.
But YOGA is something which is completely a way of life, an art of righteous living or an integrated system for the benefit of the body, mind and inner spirit. The main credit for systematizing yoga goes to Patanjali who wrote 'Yoga Sutra', 2000 Years ago. He described the principles of the full 8 fold Yogic discipline.
Aim of Yoga is the attainment of the physical, mental and spiritual
health!

"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless."

Hi friends,
Yoga is more of setting up co-ordination between mind and body and thus deals more with the internal health.

Gym i assume Weight Training is more into strength development.

Although yoga will give you more strength and Going to gym will increase your metabolism, these effects are secondary and their primary goals differ.

So it all depends upon personal targets.

Anybody who wishes to have a stable mind should better go for YOGA and somebody who weighs physical strength more than the mental one, should do his gym workouts.

There is no question of comparison.
