As knowledge gaining tool, orkut is best. but peoples & kids making miss used of it for entrainment and gossips. From orkut you can find many literature thing, news and new friends also if you use it properly.
main thing is "We have to learn how to use orkut."

As we are here in ISC discussing about orkuting. So the orkut is all about. Its a community site where we can discuss anything. The most important thing is that we can search our freinds there and can make a contact to them again.
Second thing is the another side of coin.Everything should be in limit.Give a limited time to orkut so that it will not disturb your routine.

i'm really bored of orkut.but i find some people getting addicted to it . i dont know why?i have seen many people just visiting others profile and adding them as friends.whats the use of that.None have healthy relationship in it.then why spending waste time doing useless things.Inturn there are many useful sites. If everyone shuts orkut and move to mylot they can earn atleast for their life.... if the a person is got addicted to orkut the only reason was he had got many friends of opposite sex.thats all..i started it with a great intrest but now its very boring with the site..!

Orkut is like a tool given in our hands. We can either use it smartly and take positives out of it or we can end up using a lot of our time in doing things which will actually fetch nothing to us.
It's totally in our hands to use it positively or to become a slave of it and get addicted to it.
It's a very good networking site to keep in touch with friends and relatives and increase the social circle, but it can also prove to be a curse if personal information is revealed or time is wasted on it!

Lets discuss the topic - money v/s intelligence!!!!
Post your views.
well I think money is important. since you are not born intelligent you have to study and get higher education to become intelligent for which you needs lots and lots of money now a days. What you say.

Who says you can't be intelligent without money? Intelligence is a mental aspect and has nothing to do with money; agreed, money can get you a better education, but that does not equate with intelligence at all. Even if you have a basic education of the ability to read, you can become intelligent by merely reading a lot and gathering knowledge. The books require money, but these can be borrowed from places like free libraries or mobile libraries. I have known people with very high educational qualifications but when it comes to making an intelligent decision at the workplace, they are not up to the mark.
Look at the not highly educated Mumbai police constables who risked their lives - one at CST station grabbed his colleague's rifle and started shooting at the terrorist; another was the major factor in the police being able to capture a terrorist alive when he held on to the terrorist's gun and did not let go even when shot - THAT is bravery based on quick-thinking intelligence.

If you are intelligent you can make money with that. But money is not needed to be intelligent. Even uneducated are intelligent in many ways. Money is really important but still only intelligent and smart working are always recognized much and earn money much. But if you only have money, you may lose it soon of lack of intelligence. I feel money is not necessary for intelligence.

Very few percentage of people are born intellegent, there are many factors who contribute towards the intelligency of an indvidual. Abilty to think intelligent or to have intelligent mind depends mostly on our sorrounding atmospehere. But If a person want to have a intelligent mind he/she can always have it through education, hardwork, learning and constructive will power, so basically intelligency depends upon an individual efforts.
Intellegent mind, Quick thinking, instant decision making power, spontaneous reactions etc. all these things a person can achieve through education, hardwork, learning and will power. These all are the basic things which are responsible for the intelligent mind so no doubt at all that money can improve all these things much more better for sure by keeping the time mannagement into account.
As we are in a competative world where it is the timing that matters very much, so with the help of money we can mannage the time well.
Abhinav Bindra can perform better than a normal man because with the help of money Bindra can set a shooting station at his home which a normal person cannot, because he dont has enough money to set up a shooting station at his home. May be normal man can shoot more accurate than Bindra but with more hard work and by practicising for long time Bindra will definately be ahead because Bindra can mannage his time well due to money matters.
So for two different persons having same skills of hardwork, spending same practicising time the one who is having more money can superceed the other easily because through money that person can acquire more knowledge, more informations, more latest technologies and above all he can mannage his time very well than other person, so similar is the case for intelligency. When two person do same level of hardwork, has same level of education the one who is having more money can mannage his time well to give more constructive output than other.
Although exceptions are always there but money is related to Intellegence and it influences.

To be mentioned, Dr. MGR, Mr. Karunanidhi, Dr Annadurai, Kamarajar etc who are the chief ministers of Tamil Nadu are all uneducated. But their governing skills are uncomparable. The administration and order provided by them could never be compared even to nowaday MBAs. Even intelligence doesnt require a formal education. This bookish knowledge will never improve our intelligence. Intelligence is born within. To improve it we need to face and solve situations in a matured way. These words were proven by those four chief ministers. Each one is intelligent in their own way and is not related to formal education.
Secondly, if I say there is no need for formal education, there comes no need for spending such a lot of money. Remember, the famous scientist Thomas Alva Edison was a dropout. Even in recent history take Bill Gates who was also a dropout. Hence these people didnt spend so much money for improving their intelligence.Always experience is a good master than anybody.

Well Dude, if you think getting education from university is the only way to earn intelligence then you are totally completely wrong. And you even more wrong that if you have money you'll get education and become intellingent. In fact it's the reverse if you have intelligence then you'll easily accumulate wealth. That's a lot of great nation always try to gather intelligent people in their country from around the globe so that they could contribute in four corner development. And you can even look around and you'll find that there are, were and will be a lot of people who are called genius though they never finished their college education. You'll find these category of people ranging from singers, businessmen, great leaders, scientist, inventor, etc... Take for example Thomas Alva Edison, the man who holds the greatest number of patents for his inventions and the Microsoft Tycoon Bill Gates.
So we may earn a lot of money but to acquire intelligence it needs more than money.
To some extent its true that you need money to become educated but education alone doesn't insures intelligence, it needs passion and willingness to learn to be intelligent. Otherwise people get education just to hold a job and that's all.
Reply 6
I think, intelligence is slightly more important than money.
It's so because if you have intelligence, you can very well earn a lot of money. You can make use of your brains and find out smart ways of having more income.
On the other hand, money can't fetch you brains. If you have money,it won't last for ever.Even if you get into some job using money, there also, you will have to prove your intelligence to stay safe.
Thus, intelligence can bring money to you,but money can't bring intelligence to you!

Salman Khan is another side of the coin where he first went after Aishwarya and now with broken heart after Katrina Kaif. Love is not that powerful and men will not die like Jack did for Rose in Titanic.

Definitely 100% you are true. Love has become a fashion to youths now. There will be very minor percentage of true love. Youths wont try to imitate good things from movies and actors but do the same with all these idiotic things. Its like everyone in world is cini actors and actresses and they just roam in thoughts. It has become like love is a must to them, and having a girl friend or boyfriend is a honor to them. Even the school guys have started with this fashion. The fact is many do really spoil their lives by seeing and imitating such fashions.

First it is the attraction in any how between any boy and girl which makes them to come close, if genuinely talking then every boy/girl want to convert his/her attraction into love but they find some unavoidable differences due to which they fail to do so.
But I feel is that if a boy/girl can understand what actually love is then their attraction will definitely convert to love but if there is not exact understanding of love then the attraction between them will be called as fashion.
Earlier also it was only Adam-Eve among many who got success in converting their attraction into love and now also atleast one Adam-Eve will be there.
So everybody’s intention remains to convert his/her attraction into love but lack of appropriate understanding of love leads that attraction to fashion.

Yes,it's true that these days, love is more about following the fashion, but not the actual passion.People have very much forgotten about the true meaning of love and are following only the trends which have been set up.Imitation is seen all over, which is mainly from Bollywood.!
Reply 6
We cannot just tell that love is not a passion for a fashion. It is generally not true in many of the circumstances. We have to see this in various angles of life.
You can see many of the people who truly love each other and even get married. They are very sincere in Love and do not cheat each other. Fashion is that where the girl falls in love with the other person only for money and then leave it. This happens very rarely may be 20% of cases out of 100. But I too agree that there are some girls who do so and even some guys who belong to such category. But the true fact is a girl will in majority of times be true to her love and only in rare cases bitray the guy.
Hence it is my opinion that love is passion and not fasion.

Yes it is really true what you say. God our creator created us to experience that pure love filled with passion for one another in every relationship. But now the world shows the very opposite of it. But really the truth never fails. Lets try our best to keep our passion burning.
Suppose a dalit girl proposes for marriage you who is beautiful like aishwarya and intelligent as well but her family belongs to lowest rung hindu caste hierarchy; could you marry her even if your parents are relatives are against it???
Question is for Forward caste and OBC class!!!!
as far as my views are concerned , it depends the person ,the man who belongs to a good educational background as well as he is broadminded .in this case i think there would be no problem ,but the person who are narrow minded this problem maybe occurred. Now days intercast marriages are very normal thing and now the mentality
of people are going to change. All these things are very helpful to make a good society.
It depends only one thing girl should be capable otherwise if u are not educated and smart same problem occurs with you (I mean to say that girl who belong to a good cast)

Look things are very simple to understand. Change of religion is some one's look and attraction of that particular community and its social structures. If somebody likes, he can opt for that religion but your question about marry of dalit girl is not an issue for a person. To marry someone whom you like and you feel that you can pass life with her association. Marrying a dalit or brahmin girl is not at all concerned with personality.
If you are in love then find your own way.
But from my point of view it will not be so easy task you know. Many social obligations will come on your way. But don't get worried.
Seek for the strength buried in your own soul.
Get prepared for those questions which will be raised against you.

Nowadays all things are changed only people who are in old days talking like this rubbish things like caste, i can marry a dalit marry the only i need from her is love nd carrying for my entire life

I do not mind marrying a Dalit girl as long as we are able to get along. It is possible for a person from any background to be civilized and wise irrespective of education and finances. Regarding parents, they have lived in a different time. They might have problems but we should not bear any ill will for that. I have friends who are Brahmins who have married Backward Caste etc.
So I wouldn't mind what they are as long as they can get along with me.

At first sight no body knows, who has filled your heart with light, pleasure and pushed your heart beat. If some can do all these things for that people spend their whole life and very few of us got opportunity to blow in this kind madness that make you crazy, persuade to let your mind free to blow and made beautiful dreams with someone.
All these think are priceless no one can sell and purchase.
No matter she belongs which caste and religion. There are so many example people had left family, career and society. If we take the recent example of chandra mohan MLA of haryana, has change his religion
for his love.
It has found that People indulge in love, prove himself many a time, but the question is, and Are our society will accept it?
How many of parents are going to accept it.
I think there are members who have child. My question is to them,
Will you accept if your child is going to make this kind of relation?
Reply 6
Even though we will say India as a secular state, these kinds of questions emphasize that we are not. It’s the duty of every citizen to eradicate this kind of discrepancies. So never matter which ever the caste girl is, if you find her as a perfect match for you, make her the life partner.

Girish,
good point for discussion. It depends on the person. If a person of a forward likes a dalit girl, he will definitely marry her. It is not that she is very beautiful like aishwarya or something like that. Marriage between people depends on their likings. And now days it is common thing that boys of forward caste are marrying Dalit girls. It is a fact that we have to accept.
Reply 9
People shouldn’t be discriminated on the basis of their caste. First of all they are human and are people of god .All are equal before god and we should respect them. So marrying someone shouldn’t depend on caste but on heart.
Reply 10
At first place do not use this manmade-later-politician's-petword Dalit for a girl otherwise a gifted human being. Let us pledge to shun these unnecessary vocabularies. Then only it will have a natural death in itself. We are people of a different millennium. Let us ward off those old thoughts with little relevance today.
I think all of us never think from that angle barring some sanguivore politicians.
Reply 11
if people fall in love then they do not see what is the cast of each others they just hang out and tied with each other and about a dalit gal proposing to us whether she is beautiful or not generally after a propose no body gets married if the things goes right and we can make a mind set and can understand mutually then i will definitely marry a dalit girl
Reply 12
Now days no one can shows interested on cast.
If even she is beautiful and intelligent she has to match with opinions of that boy.
If her tests match with his, he definitely marries her for this cast is no issues.
And coming to point of relatives, they don't be with us for ever especially at the time of need.
No there is nothing to think about relations.
Reply 13
Hi,
In the present situation of world moving with a high pace for the improvement of life no has the real time to think about the caste and religions. Considering the fact of life span being reduced it transparent that everyone would like to live all the moments.
It does not really matters whether the girl whom you like is a dalit, brahmin, muslim ...or any other caste or religion.what matters would be the character pursured by her, marriages are arranged in heaven and you cannot escape the fate.
These differences are injected into our minds by our politicians and leaders; do we have an option of choosing the family to be born? Then why are we intending to be specific in selecting girl from a particular caste.
Humanity counts and marrying a dalit girl will not destroy our moral values. Marriage is a relation between two people and it depends on the understanding, love and caring towards each other. Its a link between two hearts.

Hi Girish,
This is really a good topic to discuss on. From my point of view if a Dalit girl wants to marry me and I am also in real love with her, so there is only one thing that can comes in between us and that is my mentality which has to decide whether I can able to take care of her and whether we can able to manage our lifes with what I earn.
Look from the idealistic point of view nothing can going to stop me from marrying her... but life is not ideal. Even if my parents are not taking my side for this marriage, we can still get married. I know they will get offended with us and might break the relationship with us, but when they realize that we live our life smoothly and happily, they will surely get back to us by removing all the grievances that they have in there mind.
So I think that it all depends on the mentality of me, which will decide what is right and what is wrong.
Reply 15
I agree with MrMukherjee. It is the mentally of the man and the girl to decide what is good for them. If a man is really in love with a girl and wud like to have her as his life partner then nothing can stop them. As many of our friends said, now a days people wont give much importance to caste, religion or creed and the parents also are more adjustable.
But when they start living together both of them have to do a lot of adjustments with their in laws etc since they belong to two different community/caste or religion.
Reply 16
dear friend love does ask for relation nowadays ,asking for religion is like a crime ,and marrying a smart, intelligent alit girl even if she is not beautiful is far more better then marrying a illogical, and stupid girl of the uppermost caste even if she looks like Aishwarya.
Are Foreign Tv Channels Destroying Our Culture?
It is good and also bad.
Young generations prefer western culture because it gives more freedom and openness in relationships. But at the same time overdose of it ruins "family" feeling of our Indian culture.
More freedom means more responsibility.
Indian culture: Parent’s don’t give much freedom but they take responsibility to save children from ill practices.
Western culture: more freedom, parents care less but increases the chance of children indulging in will practice if they are not made to feel responsible...
Finally, its depend upon you whether to be destroyed or to developed. As if you will choose BBC, Discovery, or proper English movies channel even, it will expand your knowledge. I believe this is a global era, and if you want to be with the world at least u should be vast, in this way Foreigh Tv channels has given us chance to know the world, like American Idol, is the global music reality competition then the local Indian idol, Big brother is also the better reality show then our cheap copy cat big brother reality show (where rakhi was doing so cheap dramas !!!), and the movies best technique and the presentation is GLOBAL, just accept the world and world will accept u... then choose the best and give the best to the world - This is our basic culture. Which none can destroy?
Reply 1
According to me we cannot blame foreign TV channels because they are following their culture in their TV channels. The thing is that if we did not watch those foreign channels then our culture is preserved. Why don’t we ban these channels to be viewed in India if one really cares for our culture. Beyond these things individual people should control and follow our culture even though they watch those foreign channels. One should have his or her own self-control. Today we can see a lot of Indian movies which void our culture why these actress and actors are voiding our culture. The main reason for destruction of our culture is our Indian film industry itself plays a major role. They should take at least some good movies but nowadays good movies are rare and no one can watch movies with their family.
